AcknowledgmentWorks
was founded by Christopher Littlefield, to provide businesses,
nonprofits, and other organizations with concrete skills and
tools to increase employee morale, performance, and enhance
office relationships using the free and powerful practice of
acknowledgment, recognition, and praise.
The practice of
giving and receiving acknowledgment plays a critical role in our
everyday work relationships, yet we devote little time and
attention to examining and developing our ability to acknowledge
others and to accept acknowledgment from others.
Managers are often
aware of the necessity to give performance reviews and feedback,
but not aware of the benefit to be gained if they take the five
minutes to acknowledge their employees.
The
AcknowledgmentWorks Programs are based on results from an
independent international study of 154 participants from 30
countries around the world on their experience of
acknowledgment. Results showed 88% of people surveyed associated being
acknowledged with being valued. Chris has developed an
interactive program to increase managers’ effectiveness in the
age-old practice of recognizing the efforts and impact of
others. Managers will get trained in how to powerfully
acknowledge their employees.

Littlefield:
AcknowledgmentWorks Founder
Christopher has
varied and broad experience in designing and leading programs
that create understanding and trust between youth and adults
from cultures in conflict such as the Middle East and Northern
Ireland. Most recently, he co-founded an organization with
funding from the U. S. State Department to address tensions
between adults from Armenia and Azerbaijan. Through his
experience working with protracted international conflicts, he
has developed a depth of knowledge of the dynamics of human
relationships. He has translated this knowledge into the
development of workshops to assist businesses and community
groups to navigate the challenges of workplace relationships.
Chris focuses on the topic of acknowledgment, praise, and
recognition and how to use the three to transform work and
personal relationships. Chris has received research and service
awards for his work with the Seeds of Peace Program, the
Caroline Briggs Award for contributions to diversity, and the
Sojourner Truth Award for contributions to the African American
Student Associations from UNCA. Chris received his BA in "Global
Interactions" from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
